Dear Marion,
One of my staff writers, David Bullock, sent me your response to our request for an interview. How surprised was I, after reading about your company in Mother Jones, to get your response about promoting your company's services in a story about how gay couples can form an LLC for legal and tax purposes. It was most disturbing, considering that your site seems to have information directed toward domestic partners and same sex couples. In fact, your domesticpartners.com area links to gay and lesbian sites.
Our site, which has been touted on CNNfn (twice), as well as in The Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones and about 100 other news publications and endorsed by the chairman of the NYSE, is not about a "sexual lifestyle." Being gay is not a lifestyle, any more than not being gay. Both are generic and neither is by choice. However, being refused legal recognition and tax protections is a concern for same sex couples, who receive comments such as the one you sent.
We will be using your below response in our article, and allow our 100,000 readers to be the judge. We are a legitimate news site with reporters from the likes of the Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, ABCNews.com, NBC News and the New York Times, among others.
I am sorry you do not wish to discuss the topic you actively make money from, and am very disappointed as your site seemed initially to be gay-friendly.

Thanks for your interest in the "Relationship LLC (tm) Concept". While LLCs may be formed by mixed as well as same sex partners, llc law has nothing to do with sex. Therefore, we are unable to participate in any story directed to homosexuals, just as we would be unable to participate in any story directed to any other sexual lifestyle.
